Hi honey!

I'm home! Actually got back on Friday evening but the children didn't go home until today so I left the PC off. We were camping in West Wittering. The weather from our arrival on Sunday until the early hours of Friday was fantastic but an electrical storm and torrential downpour led to much of the site being flooded (including part of our tent) so we headed for home. The children have just been collected so it's probably time for me to go to the pub!

Hey Nigel! It's me, Tina (that chocolate addict of M150, T171 fame)Great taste in seasides! We were at West Wittering 15th-17th August too. Fantastic weather, not too hot, nice breeze, and a lovely field for when the sand got too much.Tried to persuade son to swim out to the sandbank that got cut off by the tide, but he just kept coming back! ;o) We moved onto the New Forest where, like you, we experienced that terrific storm. I've never seen so many gas lamps alight at 5 in the morning! When we resurfaced later in the morning we weren't flooded, much to my surprise, perhaps the ponies were thirsty?
Hope you had a great time.
