Samaras

No idea who he is but I can't be the only one who thinks he looks like Gabriel Batistuta? If he plays as well as "The Angel" we've got a great deal! (And I'm hoping it's the bloke in the blue stripes rather than the oaf in red who he's clearly skinned)

10 careful considerations:

...and don't you just adore the little hearts he has on his shirt...Cute.

Do you think he might be a Beany Baby?

This is obviously why Joey Barton wants a transfer - the club's signing long haired hippies with flowers in their hair...

WV: slbzrlx (Last gasp transfer from obscure Polish club to Portsmouth...)

I think Joey has been very poorly advised. It's difficult to think of many clubs who would have stood by him through the stuff over the last couple of years - many would have shown him the door over the fracas with the cigar and someone's eye let alone the other stuff.

Even if Harry doesn't steer Pompey away from the drop their team will have the highest value in Scrabble! :-)

Joey is a stupid scouse git, if you ask me. Freddie Hill (remember him?) said on the radio that he couldn't see any other big club paying big bucks for someone who can't pass...

WV:bmeus - how I feel when some footballer who's achievved nothing turns down 30 grand a week...

I heard that Rob and I have to agree with him and you. Amazing that he feels "taken for granted" given all that's happened - and it's because of the support he's had that he can still contemplate a career in football! Frankly I think he's done the worst thing a player can ever do - he's dissed the fans, it'll take a lot to come back from that.

...and now he can't be transferred anywhere until summer. I think he's going to get splinters in his bum in the next few months.

If he's lucky! I think Psycho will make sure he's there tonight so that he can hear what the fans think. If anyone wants to pay me £28k/week and take me for granted I'm more than sure I can take it. And wanting to be one of the highest paid players at the club???? When he's got a few caps maybe and when he's shown some maturity on and off the pitch perhaps. He's turned in some good performances by all accounts but he's still not SWP or King Colin. Silly bugger - one of those rare people who can't see that things are going well without going out of his way to screw it up!

Quite!
As I write it's 3-0 to City and 3-1 to Blackburn.
City may not play like they did in the glory days, but we don't tend to throw games away anymore do we, and we very rarely get absolutely tonked.
Long may Psycho prosper...
I bet most of your readers have no clue on what we are on about....

I hadn't seen what was happening elsewhere but I've got the City game on the BBC site in the background while marking.

I think it'll be easier to play good, flowing football once we are confident that we won't get a thumping every game - and Psycho is instilling that confidence. There are those who won't know what any of this means but given the pain those of us with our particular affliction have suffered over the past 20 odd years it's nice to put three past someone - while writing this Blackburn have just grabbed another!
