Healthy eating

I'm trying to make sure I eat my five portions of fruit and veg each week (whether I need them or not). Can anyone confirm that hot cross buns count as four portions of fruit and veg?

8 careful considerations:

I think it is 5 portions per day - but I am sure there are more than 5 currants in each bun so you should be okay. :-)

So five hot cross buns a day rather than five each week? Sounds tough but I'll give it a go!

I suggest you add variety and substitute one of the buns for a piece of cherry cake.

So four hot X buns and a piece of cherry cake a day will cover the requirements? That sounds like great advice Kat - many thanks. Now can I ask for some other advice? Someone recently mentioned that specific products are available for cleaning the bathroom. Now I've managed a while without using such products - does this mean I'm a bad person?

Advice on cleaning! You've got the wrong person.

Cue someone else - anyone else.

Cleaning bathrooms - blumming heck, I've got enough to do. Best get back to it, in fact. Mutter, mutter, mutter.

Throw some Dettol at it and run!

Chocolate is made from beans, & beans are vegetables, so that should be OK to include in your diet too, should you want a change from the hot Xs :-)

Can't help on the cleaning front, sorry.

Wow! Thanks - and you're a dr so you know about these things! :-)

LOL at the suggested 5 a day meal planning.

If you don't eat the buns you won't have any excess calories to burn, and so have no good reason to be cleaning the bathroom, right? ;o)

Cif spray is good. Spray it on, leave it for a bit, wipe off, no sweat. Flash wipes are great too, if you can get over your guilt of not being very environmentally friendly.

Another tip, don't use fluffy new brown towels in a white bathroom suite...the fluff will drive you potty every single day!
