Finally realised, I've installed an old version of MS Office and I can't find the later version. I'll have to save my pennies and get a student version of the latest stuff.Nogbadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04838817425838931554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13219187.post-1128445938867221972005-10-04T18:12:00.000+01:002005-10-04T18:12:00.000+01:00Belarc is cool. That's why these local lads are the World Champs and you guys were nowhere! :-) They pedal!

I used to be paid to advise pople on backups and sell them very expensive kit to make it happen but that's for others, I'm an (ex) IT professional so I don't have to worry! My last one was near a year old and I have added loads of stuff since.:-)
I keep all my install and driver CDs together but the stack I have to plough through is ridiculous. I am almost considering copying all my install CDs and backups and burying them in glass or concrete, in some remote part of the world, so that if a real disaster strikes I can get my stuff back. I used to work for the goverment and backups and the like were part of my responsiblity - Hence the obsession. :-)))
PS I would rather lose a few goverment files than my own personal stuff - Far more important.kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13358545109794655543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13219187.post-1128425389638497292005-10-04T12:29:00.000+01:002005-10-04T12:29:00.000+01:00Sidecar races seem interesting... how do they get ...Sidecar races seem interesting... how do they get them to go so fast without motorcycles?Inner Fonziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12869795526600282153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13219187.post-1128422103264105982005-10-04T11:35:00.000+01:002005-10-04T11:35:00.000+01:00Thanks Ang! :-)))Thanks Ang! :-)))Nogbadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04838817425838931554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13219187.post-1128422078940746322005-10-04T11:34:00.000+01:002005-10-04T11:34:00.000+01:00I had a print out from Advisor! It would be really useful if it remembered where the Palm OS CD was so that I could reinstall the Outlook conduits but I sorted that in the end :-)Nogbadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04838817425838931554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13219187.post-1128412736016936472005-10-04T08:58:00.000+01:002005-10-04T08:58:00.000+01:00Once you have installed all your apps. don't forg...Once you have installed all your apps. don't forget to install Belarc Advisor , then save and print the file. If another disaster happens you will still need to find all your CDs but not the serial nos. For those who don't know, Belarc Advisor also lists all your hardware and saves a full spec. of your machine. It builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware. A god send, if you have to replace a part or reinstall everything.kathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13358545109794655543noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13219187.post-1128400980615875912005-10-04T05:43:00.000+01:002005-10-04T05:43:00.000+01:00I'm so glad you are back to posting!
