I wonder if I might offer this as an example of the quality of education in this country?

This week I've done a few miles on motorways and it seems that many drivers don't get the concept of "average speed cameras". Thus they tear along in roadworks and then suddenly pull in and slam on the brakes when they see the average speed camera. Once they've passed it they tear off again. Huh?

This was here when I moved in. I took this shot because the outline stands out well against the snow as it slowly creeps off the corrugated plastic awning outside the back door.
