Plan
Today we'll go and take some photos of the blossom in the orchards and the bluebells if the weather works for us. Then it's a Boyz Nite so pizza and beer and a DVD.

Wheels
It's a year since Cal started working on the railways!
I don't think he's challenging Bob Crow for leadership of the RMT yet but he's getting the railway language. He's usually too tired to talk when I collect him but he'll mention problems with the changeover and he tells a story about a visiting driver running out of steam (literally!) on the approach to Tenterden such that the engine stopped on the level-crossing and they had a few minutes delay while building up enough energy to pull into the station.

Project
Cal and I have decided on a project. We're going to take photographs of 10 things which define Kent. Our list (currently) is
- Countryside (this is the Garden of England)
- A castle - which one is yet to be decided, might be Dover or Leeds or Rochester or another one
- Beaches in hot weather
- Canterbury cathedral
- A pub - probably a Shepherd Neame house
- Hops/Oast house
- Eurostar
- White cliffs
- Invicta - the white horse
- Sheps Brewery

Final score
Canterbury 27 - Bridgewater 11
Good open game with some thundering tackles and great running play. Canterbury fell behind to a penalty in the first few minutes and it looked like it might be a tough afternoon but three tries in the first half saw of the visitors.
Wonder if I can get a job writing match reviews?

It's half term!
So I get to spend some time with children. Not the bigger, female ones of course - they are far too busy to hang around with dad. But Cal and I watched Stargate and this morning started with Thomas the Tank Engine (but I still prefer the news).
