Nearly there..

Almost ready to celebrate the feast of feasting. The sprouts are nearly cooked - I put them on early this year, mid-August, as starting them in September as I did last year meant they were a wee bit crunchier than enjoyed by the British palate. Chesnuts in the oven ready for the traditional juggling while trying to peel them hot, still have 20lbs of potatoes to peel and also sweet potatoes and carrots and broccoli and turnips (they'll be roasted with honey). Got a turkey crown so I won't be putting that in brine and the decorations are ready to go up and the presents are ready to wrap.

All that remains is to wish everyone a happy day, whatever you celebrate, and I hope it's peaceful and calm.

5 careful considerations:

Thanks guys. Mouse - I know the Americas are behind us so I'll warn you now that the film on ITV later (in your day) is bobbins but Dr Who looks okay - I'll come back later and let you know whether it's worth watching.
Tina - cheers and very many congrats on graduating despite being in one of my groups in the past. Lynne, were you still wrapping at that time?!? :-)

ah well, I was safe enough it was only a level 1 course ;o)
You do realise though that you, Sarah and John are to blame for my addiction to all things computerish! I am sure I would have chucked the PC out of the nearest window years ago and stuck to mother and baby groups for intellectual conversation and laughs if I hadn't found helping hands and friendly faces in my first few weeks on the O.U.s conferences. Now I'm a hopeless addict and have signed up for another level 3 to go for Honours and a level 2 to go for an Advanced Diploma, and that means post-grad stuff in 2008...yikes!
