Remember SETI@home? Or the search for a cancer drug? The latest use of "meshed" computers is being supported by the BBC and aimed at predicting climate change. "Distributed computing" has been a viable concept for years but every now and again I have to wonder - if we have all this computing power and we're not answering the "big" questions are we asking the right question? Makes you wonder doesn't it?BTW - The OU has a resource about climate change that is very interesting.
