OMG!

I'm sure many have been following the discussion about "Intelligent design", the theory of the earth's development which accommodates God's design rather than the narrow vision offered by Darwin. The Onion now reports on evangelical scientists who refute gravity. They offer the theory of "Intelligent falling" which suggests that God pushes things down rather than some invisible force called gravity attracting things. Check it out to keep up with modern thinking in the physical sciences!

Hey GW - those guys have "The Bomb" and a record of regime change in countries that don't agree so if they can get a majority vote for all of us being left under gooseberry bushes by storks and gravity really being little invisible elves tying weights to us and the world really being a big disk carried on the backs of four elephants riding a giant space turtle then that's fine by me! :-)

Oh Chiquita you have to let it make you laugh - that's what The Onion is all about! But the underlying message really is that while ideas like this are taking hold we should all be careful.

Oh CCTV is just so yesterday! Now all you need is a dodgy mandate from the electorate and access to armed forces. If you can suggest that the person or people you go for might have access to some form of weapon (suicide bomb or WMD will work)..........
