Whoops!

This guy probably thought he'd gone deaf!

16 careful considerations:

LOL And you implied the same thing!!

Two minds with a single thought Angie! I guess it's busy round there isn't it? Everyone thought it would put down at your brother's but they chose to call in with you instead! Is it coffee and donuts for and extra seven this morning?

Nogbad said...

Yo Cheri - that Angie said much the same on her blog but with a different accent and from a different source.

Ang said...

Hey! What accent! Us Californians have no accent! Thank you very much!! And yeah, I'm the oldest outta five, everyone calls me before they do anything in this family. Lucky me! :)

Nogbad said...

Yup but my news source was UK and your's was US :-)

And as for busy - I was referring to those nice chaps from NASA deciding that California might be nicer than Florida this morning. When they disembarked I was reminded of family trips where my dear wife would get out of the car and wander round mumbling "I'm sure I could here something rattling"

Ang said...

If you have been to Florida, and I have, you'll know that California is MUCH nicer!! Altho out in the desert where they landed, the something rattling could be a snake. :)

But they landed in the Mojave didn't they? I remember flying over it and thinking it looked short on pubs and it's also mentioned by Dylan in the intro to "Watchtower" on (I think) "Live at the Budokan".

ahem...lol....Florida is nicer and Californians do too have accents.... ;P

they like totally do

If you want a fun place to leave a spouse, drive thru the Mojave desert and hit the one rest stop in the middle of nowhere. It's something out of a horror book. I thought my husband and I were going to have to fight for our lives...weird psycho truckers and desert people.

Nogbad said...

Hey! "Fun places to leave spouses" has the look of a brilliant meme doesn't it? Can you name the best place to leave your spouse and would you go back for them?

Ang said...

Cheri!! I hate to be argumentative, I truly do, but valley talk is SO eons ago. AND! That was Southern California. Those of us in the Bay Area are much too cool for that nonsense. :)

And btw, Florida sucks! LOL As proof, did you see who they voted in the last two elections?? I rest my case!! (grins)

Oh come on now ladies. It's not that this isn't a fascinating discussion - those of us in the rest of the world really are hanging on waiting for the next reposte - it's just that we don't understand! Where I come from "Valley talk" has mucky overtones (I'll say no more) and we might use articulatory phonetics to describe language but without actually hearing it we're stuck!

Can you both ring everyone tomorrow from, say, 10AM BST? That way we'll know what's going on. That okay? :-)

Ang said...

Do you realize 10am bst is 2am pst?? Are you outta your mind?!?! I'll be sleeping!! LOL Like oh my god!! Like gag me with a spoon!! (I hate valley talk so shut me up now please)

Sheesh Angie! All I'm suggesting is that you phone everyone in the blogosphere and you are getting tense? Maybe you and Cheri need to record your voices and post them? Otherwise this discussion about accents (and I should point out that I don't have an accent at all!) is difficult for many of us to follow :-)

Ang said...

I'm not getting tense :) Posting my voice sounds like a great idea tho!! I have been on a podcast but I'm buried in it.
